“Job Hunting Seminar for International Students” Successfully Held! (April 18, 2025)
Today, on April 18, the “Job Hunting Seminar for International Students” organized by the Career Support Center was successfully held at the Nagoya University Asian Legal Exchange Plaza (ALEP).
This seminar was conducted as a special public recording of the “Career Radio for International Students” podcast and attracted many international students from the School/Graduate School of Engineering eager to gain insights into job hunting in Japan.
The guest speaker, Mr. Dushan Kodikara, a 2020 graduate of the G30 Automotive Engineering Program, shared valuable advice based on his own job-hunting experience.
He provided practical tips on Japanese language proficiency required for engineering jobs, essential technical skills for the automotive industry, and real-world insights into role expectations and working experiences at Japanese companies.
Participants actively engaged in the session, asking thoughtful questions and gaining useful knowledge for their future career paths.
The event was conducted entirely in English and created a warm, interactive atmosphere, offering international students a great opportunity to connect and learn.
The recording of this seminar will be available soon on the Career Support Center’s YouTube channel, “NU Career Support for International Students”. Please stay tuned!
We look forward to seeing more Engineering students at the future career support events!
